Praslin Island, Seychelles is one of the world’s most renowned photography spots. From beaches and sunsets to ginormous tortoises and palm trees, the island has no shortage of gorgeous spots to snap a few shots.
Our favourite photography hotspots are: Grand Anse, Anse Georgette, Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, Fond Ferdinand Nature Reserve, Côte d’Or Beach, Zimbabwe Viewpoint, and Constance Lémuria Resort’s golf course viewpoint.

Grand Anse
Grand Anse Beach in Praslin has been dubbed one of the most beautiful beaches in the world for its creamy white sands, turquoise waters, and surrounding luscious nature.
It’s the ultimate location hour for golden hour shots. Its stunning blue waters contrast stunningly with white sand. Since its waters are so shallow, you have the perfect opportunity to take split-level shots (half water, half sky).
Anse Georgette
Anse Georgette’s sunrises and sunsets enhance the softness of its golden-hued grains of sand, which makes for striking beach shots. Its surrounding vegetation, like plants, flowers, and trees, will add depth to your shots, ensuring they’re captivating.
Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve
Vallée de Mai is a photographer’s paradise. The national park is home to coco de mer, the largest fruit in the world. Its massive nuts and fanned leaves make for stunning compositions. Take photos of sunlight streaming through the jungle’s dense foliage.
The UNSECO site is also one of the few places where the Seychelles black parrot is found. Other exotic wildlife you might capture include bright geckos, skinks, and tree frogs. If you’re a fan of water shots, look out for the reserve’s small, hidden water features.
Fond Ferdinand Nature Reserve
At Fond Ferdinand Nature Reserve, you can spot Seychelles blue pigeons, Seychelles bulbuls skinks, and other endemic and rare wildlife to take micro shots of exotic wildlife. You might also photograph orchids, endemic palms, and tropical flowers.
Hike to the panoramic viewpoint overlooking Curieuse, La Digue, and other islands, which are great for wide-angle and drone shots (if allowed).
Côte d’Or Beach
Côte d’Or is uncrowded and untouched. It faces northeast, making it ideal for beach sunrise shots. If you’d like long-exposure shots of the ocean and stars, Côte d’Or doesn’t have light pollution – capture the constellations.
If the weather isn’t fair, the beach is fantastic for dramatic seascapes, especially with waves crashing against the shore.
Zimbabwe Viewpoint
After a drive up a dusty dirt road, you’ll reach Zimbabwe Viewpoint, where you’ll get breathtaking panoramic views over other islands and Praslin’s forests. Get atmospheric shots as the clouds and weather roll in.
You could also capture endemic wildlife and flowers with the Seychelles sky in the background, making your photos more compelling.
Constance Lémuria Resort’s Golf Course Viewpoint
Constance Lémuria is a hotel and resort in Praslin. The fiftieth hole of its course is perched high on a granite cliff, overlooking the white sand beaches of Anse Georgette and the surrounding jungle. Since you’re so high off the ground, you have a bird’s eye view of the island’s stunning coastline. Note that you may need to ask permission to visit the golf course.
