Restaurants
Praslin has an assortment of restaurants reachable with a Praslin Island car hire, including Les Lauriers, Cafe des Arts, Breeze Garden, and St. Pierre Beach Restaurant.
Les Lauriers
Les Lauriers has been hailed as a restaurant that serves some of the best food on Praslin paired with great service. They do a great Creole buffet and a la carte menu right next to the beach, adding tropical ambience alongside an amazing barbeque experience. Be sure to make a reservation before you go.
Cafe des Arts
Cafe des Arts is on Anse Volbert beach. You’ll have a marvellous view of the tide as it comes in. This restaurant serves an amazing array of dishes set with a beautiful view and atmosphere. We can’t recommend it enough.
Breeze Garden
Located in Grand Anse, Breeze Garden is an open space with fantastic service. The restaurant is famous for its fish curry and spaghetti bolognese.
St. Pierre Beach Restaurant
St. Pierre has 180 beach views and great decor, with a high lathania leaf ceiling and sand between your toes making for the ultimate beach restaurant experience. The food is great value for money. It has fantastic views and even better food.
Beaches
Our favourite beaches to head to by car include Cote d’Or Beach and Anse Volbert.
Cote d’Or Beach
Almost endless stretches of milky sand and shallow crystal water make Cote d’Or a beachgoer’s dream. It’s perfect for unconfident swimmers and families, as these calm waters make swimming safe and easy.
Anse Volbert
Anse Volbert has clear, azure waters with unmatched views of beautiful Curieuse and St. Pierre, islands a short Praslin boat charter or ferry ride away. There are also restaurants, making lunch or supper after your swim hassle-free.
Hiking
For an amazing hiking experience, we recommend Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve and Fond Ferdinand Nature Reserve.
Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve
Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve is home to numerous Coco de Mer trees, bearers of the world’s largest fruits. Its jungle, fascinating flora, and animals make this experience unmissable – wander through the jungle and marvel at Seychelles’ endemic wildlife and plants.
Fond Ferdinand Nature Reserve
Fond Ferdinand’s entry prices are cheaper than those of Vallée de Mai Nature with views that are just as beautiful. This reserve offers a two-hour trek through the emerald jungle until you reach a summit, where you can look out over all of enchanting Praslin.
Driving
For the highest view in all of Praslin, we recommend that you drive to the Zimbabwe viewpoint, where you can see over Praslin and Curieuse with no barrier. Otherwise, all of Praslin is lovely to drive through. Its roads are well taken care of, making driving a pleasant experience to remember.
